About magazine

Cableman, a full-color monthly which is dedicated to pay-TV issues, has been published for 4 years to date. We cover both traditional cable TV and every other new TV broadcasting technology that has been, or will be, implemented.

According to the MarketUp Consulting Group’s independent research, Cableman is a leader within niche media both in terms of its fame and its readership share. Also, the frequency and response of readers to it as well as their perception of it as an important and informative resource is reflected in the readership breakdown assessments.

All in all, Cableman strives to provide content that takes into consideration the interests of a diverse group of readers. The MarketUp Consulting Group’s analysis revealed that operators are interested in legislation and content issues, while installation and maintenance experts, on the other hand, look for reference data. Due to this, we publish articles regarding the rights and responsibilities of operators, as well as content and marketing, equipment and technologies, the TV market’s development trends, and important issues of transition to digital broadcasting that are faced by Russian and foreign TV companies. Every issue of ours contains news, announcements, and reference tables for pay-TV network channels.

Furthermore, our monthly also has a special project: the bimonthly Broadband Russia bulletin that covers TV and communication market news within Russia, and is delivered by e-mail to Russian and foreign subscribers. More than 1500 telecom experts hailing from all over the globe subscribed to this bulletin during the first year of its existence.

Now, the monthly has a website: www.cableman.ru with a daily audience of 500-600 visitors. Already, the Russian version of the site includes important news, archives of previous issues, announcements of new issues, and information about all TV channels. A Russian language Internet forum of cable operators is being run on the website.
